November 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's president Rumen Radev will convene the newly-elected parliament on December 3, following the November 14 snap election won by recently formed anti-graft party We Continue The Change (WCC), local media reported.
The leaders of four of seven political forces that crossed the 4% threshold for entry into the 240-seat parliament will discuss the structure and line-up of Bulgaria's next government at a series of meetings this week, public television BNT reported on Sunday.
Immediately after their election victory, We Continue the Change started consultations at the level of experts with the Bulgarian Socialist Party, populist formation There Is Such a People (TISP) and anti-status quo, pro-reform Democratic Bulgaria to find common grounds on priority economic, financial and social issues with view of potentially forming a majority coalition government.
Seven political forces crossed the 4% threshold for entry into parliament in the November 14 election.
According to data published by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), We Continue The Change will have 67 seats in parliament, the centre-right coalition of GERB and the Union of Democratic Forces will have 59 representatives, followed by The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) with 34 MPs. The Socialists will have 26 MPs, TISP - 25, Democratic Bulgaria -16 MPs, while nationalist and populist Revival party will have 13 seats.
