November 6 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian state owned airport operator Plovdiv Airport said that its net loss widened to 511,000 levs ($290,000/261,000 euro) in the first nine months of 2019 from 223,000 levs in the same period of 2018, as revenue fell while expenses remained flattish.
Plovdiv Airport's operating revenue fell to 2.7 million levs in the January-September period of 2019 from 3.0 million levs in the comparable period of last year, the company said in an interim financial statement.
Operating expenses remained virtually unchanged at 3.2 million levs.
Plovdiv Airport welcomed 60,359 passengers in the review period, down by an annual 46.4%. Cargo handled at the airport decreased sharply to 157 tonnes in January-September from 493 tonnes the year before.
