December 15 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian heating systems manufacturer Mareli Systems has started a 5 million levs ($2.8 million/2.6 million euro) expansion of its production facilities in the southwestern town of Simitli, which it expects to complete by the end of June 2024, a company official told SeeNews on Friday.
The company is building a new office centre of 700 sq m along with 2,800 sq m of production facilities which are slated to start operating some time in the summer of 2024, the company official told SeeNews in an emailed statement.
Current production facilities spread over 10,000 sq m. Mareli Systems announced the planned expansion last spring.
The new project will boost production of air-to-water heat pumps, creating about 40 new jobs.
Mareli Systems also makes a range of high-performance eco-friendly heating appliances - pellet stoves, pellet boilers, and pellet burners. It exports close to 90% of its output to more than 20 countries, including Canada.
