October 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's gross foreign debt totalled 36.138 billion euro ($54.359 billion) at the end of August, 2.3% down from the end of 2008, the central bank said on Friday.
At the end of August, Bulgaria's gross foreign debt was equivalent to 107.9% of the country's gross domestic product projected for 2009, the central bank said in a statement.
Bulgaria's long-term foreign debt was 23.945 billion euro and short-term debt totalled 12.193 billion euro at the end of August.
