September 29 (SeeNews) - Deliveries of natural gas to Bulgaria decreased by 27% year-on-year to 189 million cubic metres (mcm) in July, although in monthly terms gas deliveries went up by 5%, the statistical office said on Thursday.
Bulgaria's own output of natural gas halved to 1 mcm in July compared both to the same month of 2021 and to the month prior, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a monthly report.
Electricity production rose by 9.6% in annual terms in the seventh month of 2022, reaching 4,202 GWh. That represented a 4.2% increase compared to June.
Deliveries of electricity dropped 4.8% on an annual comparison basis to 2,614 GWh in the month under review, whereas deliveries of oil products slipped 6.4% on the year to 394,000 tonnes which was the same amount as in June.
Oil products recorded the highest annual rate of production increase, of 44.2% to 695,000 tonnes overall, which was also 4.7% higher than in June. The increase was mainly driven by a 54% jump in the production of transport diesel.
