July 25 (SeeNews) - Drujba Glassworks [BUL:4DR], the Bulgarian unit of Greek glassware and bottle maker Yioula, said on Thursday its first-half net profit dropped to 4.9 million levs ($3.3 million/2.5 million euro) from 9.3 million levs a year earlier.
The company posted a 12% annual drop in its consolidated revenue to 104.2 million levs through June, Drujba Glassworks said in filing on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
The drop in revenue was due to repair works carried out at the company's furnace between December 2012 and February 2013, which resulted in a lower output, the statement added.
Drujba Glassworks, a leading producer of glass bottles and jars for Bulgaria and the region, has two production units, in Sofia and the southern city of Plovdiv.
