October 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's defence ministry said on Wednesday that it has awarded a seven-year framework agreement for aircraft maintenance worth 40 million levs ($23.6 million/20.4 million euro) to Switzerland-based company Pilatus Aircraft.
Under the terms of the framework deal, Pilatus Aircraft Ltd will be responsible for the integrated logistic support of Pilatus PC-9M and PC-12/45 aircraft, the defence ministry said in a notice.
Pilatus Aircraft Ltd, which is the manufacturer of the respective aircraft, was awarded the deal without a public procurement procedure.
Stans-based Pilatus Aircraft Ltd, founded in 1939, develops, manufactures and sells aircraft. It has over 2,000 employees, according to information on the company's website.
