February 9 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's coastal airport of Burgas will close from March 7 to March 31 due to planned repairs, airport operator Fraport Twin Star Airport Management said on Friday.
The repair works aim to improve the safety of the runway surface and lighting system before the 2024 summer season, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, operator of Bulgaria's coastal airports of Varna and Burgas, said in a press release.
The company is committed to growing the number of destinations and improving the infrastructure at the two airports, it added.
Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair will resume its flights from Burgas Airport on March 31, operating routes to three destinations in April and adding two more in May and five in June.
Meanwhile, Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air plans to operate seven routes from the second half of June, in addition to its year-round service to London.
