June 9 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's industrial production index dropped by 12.6% year-on-year in April after registering a revised 9.3% annual decrease in March, the statistical office said on Friday, citing preliminary and seasonally-adjusted data.
In monthly terms, Bulgaria's industrial output went down by 2.9% in the fourth month of 2023, following a revised decline of 2.1% in March, the National Statistical Office (NSI) said in a monthly report.
All three main industrial sectors recorded both annual and monthly declines in production rates in the review month. Output in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector, dropping the most year-on-year, by 38.7%.
In monthly terms, the mining and quarrying industry showed the most considerable decrease in production, of 8.2%.
