February 23 (SeeNews) - The indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) continued their losing run on Wednesday for a second day in a row amid continuing uncertainties related to the situation in eastern Ukraine.
The blue-chip SOFIX index went down 1.25% to 607.44 points. The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, fell 0.77% to 140.01 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, dropped 0.34% to 696.86 points, bourse data showed.
The top decliner among members of the SOFIX, the BGBX40, and the BGTR30 was IoT devices maker Allterco [BUL:A4L].
Allterco closed 4.62% lower at 18.60 levs as 4,101 shares changed hands.
Energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG], which has operations in more than ten countries including Ukraine and Russia, was another notable decliner on Wednesday. The company closed 3.42% down at 2.26 levs as 10,120 shares were traded.
The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, erased 0.16% to 166.03 points mainly due to a 0.49% drop in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF].
Total turnover on the BSE's main market decreased to 1.5 million levs ($868,500/868,500 euro) from 2.9 million levs on Tuesday.
