March 28 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) said that it opened a 26.7 million levs ($14.7 million/13.7 million euro) tender for morernisation of the telecommunications systems on the railway section between the northern cities of Ruse and Gorna Oryahovitsa.
The contract is divided into two stages and covers the supply and construction of an optical cable connection, digital telecommunications systems and a system for centralised management, diagnostics and control of all subsystems on the railway section, NRIC said in a notice published in the public procurement register on Monday.
Bids in the tender can be submitted until May 26. The project is expected to take up to 990 days to complete.
Separately, the NRIC launched on Monday a 10.9 million levs tender to set up a digital telecommunications system on the railway section between the capital Sofia and the northwestern towns of Mezdra and Cherven Bryag.
