March 27 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) said on Monday that it launched a 10.9 million levs ($6 million/5.6 million euro) tender to set up a digital telecommunications system on a railway section between the capital Sofia and the northwestern towns of Mezdra and Cherven Bryag.
The project, which is divided into two stages, includes the design and implementation of a digital telecommunications network for voice and data transmission and its associated systems on the section of the national rail network's second main railway line, the NRIC said in a notice published in the public procurement register.
Potential bidders can submit their offers by May 12. The term for execution of the project is 570 days.
Earlier this month, the NRIC launched a 186.7 million levs tender to implement the European Railway Traffic Management System Level 2 on a railway section between the northern cities of Ruse and Kaspichan.
