October 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria plans to increase the use of biofuels as a percentage of total fuel usage to 5.75% by 2010 and 10% by 2020 to meet European Union environmental protection requirements, an expert said on Tuesday.
Bulgaria, which joined the European Union in January, currently does not impose an excise duty on biofuels in an effort to boost production and use.
