BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 10 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Serb Republic said it decided on Thursday to seek a 50 million euro ($73 million) loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support its small and medium-sized enterprises.
The credit will finance investment projects of firms dealing in tourism and other services, manufacturing and will back public and private companies that implement small and medium-sized infrastructure projects, the Bosnian region's government said in a statement after its weekly meeting.
SMEs active in ecology, energy and health projects will also be eligible for tapping the EIB funding.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous regions that form post-war Bosnia. The other one is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
