December 14 (SeeNews) - The government of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Serb Republic said on Thursday it has approved a 30.8 million euro ($33.6 million) grant from the European Western Balkans Joint Fund, under the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF), for the construction of a Corridor Vc section.
The construction of the 6 km section between bridge Rudanka and the tunnel Putnikovo Brdo started on November 26, 2021 and should be completed by November 25, 2024, the entity's government said in a statement.
The section includes the construction of two tunnels, a 330 m bridge and a 290 m viaduct.
Corridor Vc has a total length of 700 km and connects the port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary, stretching some 340 km across Bosnia.
The Serb Republic and the Federation are the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina.
