February 8 (SeeNews) - Traffic at Bosnia's Sarajevo international airport reached 54,147 passengers in January, up 25% year on year, the airport operator said.
The percentage increase is record-high for the winter season and is close to the record set in the wake of the summer season when in July passengers grew 28% year-on-year, the operator of the Sarajevo airport said in a statement earlier this week.
In January, Sarajevo airport registered 919 aircraft movements, up 28% on the year, and transported 154,279 kg of cargo or 13% more than in January 2017.
The airport operator noted that the growth trend seen over the past couple of years is set to continue in 2018.
In 2017, Sarajevo airport saw 957,969 passengers, an increase of 14%.
