August 30 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's car materials producer Prevent Leather, a unit of German-based car parts manufacturer Prevent Group, said on Wednesday it will close its factory in Visoko due to order decline and global challenges.
The company has encountered a continual decrease in orders since the Covid-19 pandemic, and the impact of inflation and global crises has additionally disrupted the factory's operations, Prevent Leather said in a statement sent to SeeNews.
The other Bosnian units of the Prevent Group will not be affected by the closure of Prevent Leather's factory, the company added.
The factory, which has 150 employees, will be closed as of September 1, local news provider Indikator reported on Tuesday.
Prevent Group employs about 6,000 people in its 18 subsidiaries in Bosnia. The group also has production facilities in Sarajevo, Zenica, Gorazde, Travnik, Jelah, and Srebrenica.
