November 3 (SeeNews) - The share indices of Bosnia and Herzegovina's two stock exchanges, the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) and the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE), closed mixed on November 3, compared with their values a week earlier, weekly bourse data showed.
The 10-share benchmark SASX-10 index of the SASE closed at 1,037.55 points on Friday, up 0.41% compared with a week earlier.
The broader SASX-30 index, which is composed of the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, ended at 1,815.92 points, down 0.05% from the end of last week.
The SASE index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, ended at 754.81 points, up 0.10% compared with the end of the previous week.
The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by the SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), closed at 11,188.02 points, some 0.24% lower compared with a week earlier. The index tracks 25 companies.
SASE’s turnover came in at 20.1 million marka ($11 million/10.3 million euro) this week, significantly higher compared with 293,107 marka last week, as a total of 28,678 shares changed hands in 44 transactions.
Brewer Sarajevska Pivara [SAJ:SRPV] generated the highest single trading turnover on the official market this week, as its shares traded in a total turnover of 7,197 marka. The company's shares closed the week at 12 marka, some 3.19% lower compared with a week earlier.
The SASE is based in the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The BLSE is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.
The benchmark index of the BLSE, the BIRS, closed at 881.16 points on Friday, some 0.45% higher from its closing value recorded a week earlier.
BLSE's total trading turnover decreased to 247,237 marka this week from 1.87 million marka last week, as 68 transactions were carried out.
Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] generated the largest trading turnover, of some 43,590 marka, on the BLSE's official market this week. The company's shares closed at 1.22 marka on Friday, up 3.39% compared with a week earlier.
