SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), April 8 (SeeNews) – Bosnian pharmaceuticals producer Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] said its net profit fell to 8.9 million marka ($5.4 million/4.6 million euro) in 2020, from 13.2 million marka in 2019.
The company's operating income decreased by 5% to 139 million marka last year, while operating costs dropped 13.5% to 113.8 million marka, Bosnalijek said in a filing to the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) on Wednesday.
As a result, the company's operating profit rose to 25.3 million marka last year from 14.7 million marka a year earlier.
However, Bosnalijek's financial income fell to 3.6 million marka in 2020, from 7 million marka in 2019, while financial expenses skyrocketed to 22 million marka from 2 million marka.
The company's shares last traded on Tuesday on the SASE, closing unchanged at 16 marka.
