September 1 (SeeNews) - The deposit portfolio of commercial banks operating in Bosnia grew to 12.070 billion marka ($8.83 billion/6.176 billion euro) at the end of July from 11.683 billion marka a month earlier, central bank figures showed.
The banks' deposit portfolio totalled 11.769 billion marka at the end of May.

Bosnia's 30 commercial banks serve a market of some 3.8 million people.
The banks' loan portfolio fell to 14.400 billion marka at the end of July from 14.497 billion marka a month before. The Bosnian convertible marka is pegged to the euro at a fixed exchange rate of 1.95583 per euro under a currency board system.
