SOFIA (Bulgaria), June 9 (SeeNews) – Resort operator Albena [BUL:6AB] led the blue-chip decliners for a second consecutive day on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday as turnover doubled, bourse data showed.
Albena closed 2.47% lower at 63.003 levs ($37/32.2 euro) in a trading volume of just 8 shares.
Financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] led the blue-chip gainers on Friday, closing 7.33% higher at 0.967 levs as 100,000 of the company shares changed hands.
Real estate investment trust (REIT) Advance Terrafund [BUL:6A6] was the most traded blue-chip on Friday as 326,621 of its shares changed hands at an average price of 2.169 levs.
Total trading turnover rose to 2.14 million levs on Friday, from 1 million levs on Thursday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index dropped 0.23% to 675.83 points, after falling by 0.54% on Thursday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, decreased 0.31% to 131.59 points, following a decrease of 0.56% on Thursday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, added 1.46% to 111.35 points on Friday. On Thursday, the index lost 0.36%.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose by 0.25% to 516.28 points, after declining by 0.62% on Thursday.
