March 18 (SeeNews) - Albania's ministry of infrastructure and energy is inviting potential bidders to submit qualification applications in a tender for the construction of utility-scale onshore wind power plants with a total capacity of 100 MW, it said.
The ministry calls on developers of individual projects with capacity of 10 MW to 75 MW each to submit qualification documents by June 13 in order to be considered for the next stage of the tender, it said in a public call published earlier this month.
The ministry expects to name the qualified bidders in August and launch the next phase in the tendering process, the Request for Proposals (RFP) in September. The selected bidders are expected to be announced in June 2023.
The total tendered capacity may be increased to 150 MW at a later stage, the ministry said.
In June 2021, Albania invited potential investors to submit proposals for wind farm sites.
