April 25 (SeeNews) - Mobile operator A1 Bulgaria signed a multi-year agreement with e-book streaming services company Storytel, making available a new content offering and technology platform to 3.8 million Bulgarian subscribers, the Swedish company said on Tuesday.
The contract means that A1 Bulgaria users of premium services will be offered to sign up for Storytel Unlimited subscriptions on the mobile operator's Select platform, Storytel said in a press release without providing further details of the partnership
"We are very pleased to have reached a multi-year deal with A1. Long-term agreements are becoming more strategically important in the dynamic consumer market, and Storytel’s deal with A1 is a good example of how we, as partners, can create value for our customers together," Storytel CEO Johannes Larcher said.
The deal is seen to confirm A1 Bulgaria’s and Storytel’s commitment to further growth on the Bulgarian market, where the Swedish audiobook specialist has been present since 2018.
Part of A1 Telekom Austria Group, A1 Bulgaria generated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 254.4 million euro ($280.9 million) on revenue of 640.4 million euro in 2022.
