SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 16 (SeeNews) – The World Bank has approved a $70 million (48 million euro) loan to back small and medium-sized companies in Bosnia, it said.
“The [project] aims to enhance access to finance for small and medium enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina, contributing to the growth of the regional economy and exports,” the World Bank said on its website.
“The project would also help the banking sector in Bosnia withstand the global economic downturn that has triggered financing difficulties for the enterprise sector.”
The loan has a 10-year grace period and will mature in 25 years.
