January 10 (SeeNews) - Serbia's economy is expected to expand by 3% in 2024, the World Bank said, affirming its previous projection made in June.
Serbia's economy is expected to expand by 3.8% in 2025, unchanged in comparison with the June projection, the World Bank said in its January Global Economic Prospects report published on Tuesday.
The World Bank's forecast is that Serbia ended 2023 with GDP growth of 2%, or 0.3 percentage points lower than the June projection.
According to preliminary data from the national statistical office, Serbia's economy grew by 2.5% in 2023.
The economic growth of the Western Balkans region is forecast at 3% in 2024, from an estimated 2.5% in 2023.
