August 5 (SeeNews) - Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air said on Monday it plans to launch a route from Romania's capital Bucharest to Edinburgh in Scotland on November 2.
Flights will be operated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Wizz Air said in a press release.
Wizz Air also said it is adding new routes to Edinburgh from Warsaw, Budapest and Gdansk starting November.
"Offering unique cultural, architectural, gastronomic and nightlife experiences, our customers travelling to Budapest, Bucharest, Gdansk and Warsaw will also enjoy fantastic value-for-money - making pounds stretch further," Wizz Air UK managing director Owain Jones said.
In June, Wizz Air launched a new route from Suceava to Munich in Germany.
In 2018, Wizz carried more than 8.3 million passengers on its low fare routes to and from Romania, which represents a 14% growth year on year.
Wizz Air now offers 146 routes to 20 countries from 10 airports in Romania
