November 26 (SeeNews) - Austria's Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) said on Thursday its pre-tax profit from operations in North Macedonia fell 13.6% year-on-year to 1.8 million euro ($2.1 million) in the nine months through September.
Total gross written premiums (GWPs) in North Macedonia decreased 8.4% on the year to 20.1 million euro in the January-September period, VIG said in an interim financial report.
The premiums of the motor third party liability sub-segment fell by an annual 11.5% to 8.8 million euro in the nine months under review.
Casco premiums edged down 3.5% to 1.4 million euro, whereas other property insurance premiums decreased by 6.1% to 9.8 million euro.
In Southeast Europe, VIG operates in Romania, Serbia, Moldova, Bulgaria, Albania, North Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
