July 13 (SeeNews) - Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems said on Thursday it has received a firm and unconditional order from Croatian company Eko Energija to supply 42 megawatts (MW) of wind turbines for a project in the province of Obrovac.
Under the terms of the contract, Vestas will supply, install and commission 14 units of V90-3.0 MW turbines, Vestas said in a statement.
Delivery is to start in the first quarter of 2014 and the farm is to be commissioned during the second quarter of next year.
The deal also includes a seven-year full-scope service agreement.
The Obrovac Zelengrad wind power plant will be able to generate over 110,000 MWh annually, enough to power over 31,000 local homes, Vestas added.
Both Eko Energija and its owner, the EnerCap Power Funds, are managed by EnerCap Capital Partners, which will oversee the construction of the Obrovac facility.
