April 21 (SeeNews) - U.S.-based hydrogen fuel cell systems company Plug Power is interested in implementing large-scale investment projects in Romania, the Romanian government said.
Plug Power CEO Andy Marsh met on April 20 with Romanian prime minister Nicolae Ciuca to discuss opportunities offered by the country for the development of green hydrogen production capacities, the government said in a press release on Thursday.
"Romania's energy potential offers a broad development perspective for companies that want to invest in one of the most dynamic economies in Central and Eastern Europe," Ciuca said.
Plug Power commercializes hydrogen fuel cell technologies and employs more than 4,000 people globally. The company has developed significant investments in Europe in recent years.
