December 17 (SeeNews) - The Slovenian unit of UniCredit Group said on Monday it plans to more than double its network by adding 16 offices by the end of 2010, including six offices in 2008 alone.
UniCredit Group runs 14 offices in the Alpine country of two million people, UniCredit Banka Slovenija public relations officer Mateja Cotar told SeeNews.
UniCredit Banka Slovenija, previously BA-CA Ljubljana, ranked fourth among the 21 banks operating in Slovenia at the end of last year with a market share of 6.5% in terms of assets.
Slovenia was the first of the 10 states that entered the European Union in May 2004 to adopt the euro in 2007, becoming the thirteenth member of the eurozone.
