December 9 (SeeNews) - Turkey's electricity generation volume rose to 19,473 gigawatt hours (GWh) in November from 18,740 GWh in the same month a year ago, the Turkish Electricity Transmission Company (TEIAS) said.
Natural gas-fired plants accounted for 50.5% of the country's total power output in November, TEIAS data showed.
The share of coal-fired power plants in Turkey's November power production was 26.5%, that of hydropower plants was 17.2%, while wind farms accounted for 2.9%, renewable waste and geothermal plants for 1.2% and other power sources for the remaining 1.8%.
Total power production in Turkey in the first eleven months of the year declined to 217,503 GWh from 218,943 GWh for the same period a year ago.
