April 21 (SeeNews) - Turkish defence contractor Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS [IST:ASELS] said it has signed an agreement to supply remotely controlled weapon systems to Kazakhstan.
The contract foresees the supply of the SARP-DUAL advanced remote-controlled stabilised weapon, Aselsan said in a Twitter post on Monday.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Aselsan intends to increase the production capacity of its subsidiary Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering, in order to meet Kazakhstan's needs at a maximum level, Turkey's Anadolu Agency reported.
Aselsan, a subsidiary of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, develops and manufactures software, equipment, systems and platforms for the army, navy, air force and aerospace industries.
The company last week signed a contract with an undisclosed NATO member state for the supply of advanced remote-controlled stabilised weapon stations and gunshot detection systems.
