LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), March 1 (SeeNews) – Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] said on Wednesday it has cut the total value of claims against its group members by 473 million euro ($498.3 million) to 176.9 million euro over the past five years.
During the period between the start of 2012 and February 28 this year, Telekom Slovenije signed several deals to settle open issues with companies which had filed major claims against it, Telekom Slovenije said in a filing with the Ljubljana bourse.
The companies in question include Si.mobil, which had sued the telco over the payment of 286.4 million euro; law firm Rojs, Peljhan, Prelesnik & Partnerji, which sought 5.1 million euro; Akton, which was suing Telekom Slovenije over the payment of 13 million euro; and Telemach, which had open claims of 87.4 million euro towards the telecommunications group.
The remaining lawsuits are in various phases of the proceedings, Telekom Slovenije said. The highest claim from T-2, in the amount of 129.5 million euro, has already been rejected. T-2 has, however, has taken the case to the Supreme Court, which is yet to make its decision.
As at December 31, 2011, the total amount of claims from lawsuits against Telekom Slovenije Group was 649.9 million euro.
