March 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian Stock Exchange indices ended lower on Tuesday, hit by a 3.94% slump in the share price of diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR].
Stara Planina Hold shares ended Tuesday's session at 6.1 levs, erasing the majority of its gains on Monday. Stara Planina Hold gained 5.83% on Monday, as only one share in the company changed hands during the trading session.
The second biggest decliner on Tuesday among companies listed on the BSE was drug maker Sopharma, which slid 3.01% to 3.55 levs.
Stara Planina Hold and Sopharma are members of the SOFIX, BGBX40 and BGTR30 indices.
The blue-chip SOFIX ended the session 0.90% lower at 578.46 points.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, dropped 0.60% to 115.26 points.
The BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged down 0.07% to 501.84 points, as the drop in Stara Planina Hold and Sopharma was partly offset by a 3.80% rise in the share price of Hydraulic Elements and Systems [BUL:4HE].
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, lost 0.46% to 120.51 points, as Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6] and Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU] fell 1.27% and 1.04%, respectively.
Total trading turnover on the BSE regulated market dropped to 479,000 levs ($276,000/245,000 euro) on Tuesday from 1.22 million levs on Monday.
