April 27 (SeeNews) - Most Bulgarian Stock Exchange indices closed in red territory on Monday despite the rise in the share price of real estate investment trusts (REITs).
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU] led gainers among members of all four BSE indices with a 4.60% rise to 1.82 levs, followed by Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6], which added 3.49% to 1.78 levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks the performance of seven REITs, gained 1.60% to 131.20 points on Monday.
All three other indices ended lower, mostly hurt by a 7.02% drop in the share price of heavyweight conglomerate Chimimport [BUL:6C4].
The blue-chip SOFIX index closed the trading session 0.73% lower at 445.33 points.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, decreased 0.46% to 93.96 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, erased 0.23% to 458.56 points.
Total regulated market trading turnover amounted to 2.2 million levs ($1.2 million/1.1 million euro) on Monday.
