June 4 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, hit an all-time high of 122.23 points on Tuesday, backed by a rise in the share price of Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT (BREF) [BUL:5BU].
The BGREIT gained 0.52%, or 0.63 points, exceeding its previous all-time high of 121.79 points set on May 17.
BREF shares ended the session 2.56% higher at 2.0 levs, adding to a 0.52% rise on Monday. After the Sofia exchange end bell last Friday, BREF announced that its has signed a six-year agreement with Robert Bosch Bulgaria for the lease of 2,749 sq. m. of its building in Sofia Tech Park, which is currently under construction.
The blue-chip SOFIX index closed 0.05% lower on Tuesday, hit by a 2.86% drop in the share price of Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF]. Other major decliners among SOFIX members on Tuesday were Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] and Holding Varna [BUL:5V2], which lost 2.0% and 1.5%, respectively.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the stock exchange in Sofia, edged up 0.07% to 115.36 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.05% to 503.43 points.
Total regulated market turnover soared to 2.8 million levs ($1.6 million/1.4 million euro) on Tuesday from 186,000 levs on Monday. The rise was mainly due to two deals in 235 Holdings [BUL:94G] shares, worth just over 2 million levs.
