January 25 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) declined on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX losing 0.14% to 614.45 points, bourse data showed.
SOFIX’s top decliner was Holding Varna [BUL:HVAR] after falling by 1.83% to 42.80 levs.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, decreased by 0.09% to 141.54 points. It was dragged by real estate investment trust (REIT) FairPlay Properties [BUL:FPP], which dropped by 9.64% to 0.75 levs. The loss more than offset a 3.77% gain to 8.25 levs at aluminium products manufacturer Alcomet [BUL:ALCM] and a 3.64% rise to 3.42 levs in cable and wire manufacturer Emka [BUL:EMKA].
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, decreased by 0.10% to 743.02 points. The index was pressed by Holding Varna and a 1.67% loss to 2.36 levs at First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB].
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, was the only one to close in green territory after rising by 0.19% to 187.01 points. The only gainer in the index was Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which climbed by 0.91% to 3.34 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange surged to 1.34 million levs ($747,468/685,131 euro) on Wednesday from 545,277 levs a day earlier.
The biggest portion of the turnover, or 1.02 million levs, was generated by software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH]. The stock closed 2.82% higher at 0.73 levs with 1,400,200 shares traded.
