February 2 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in red territory on Thursday, with the blue-chip SOFIX losing 0.41% to 612.56 points, bourse data showed.
The top SOFIX losers were Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], which fell by 1.89% to 2.08 levs, and Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:CCB], which lost 1.78% to 1.66 levs.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, decreased by 0.36% to 141.54 points. It was dragged down by a drop of 3.70% in hotel operator Albena [BUL:ALB] to 26.00 levs and a decline of 3.36% to 1.44 levs in poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6].
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, fell by 0.75% to 187.13 points. The index was held back by the loss at Bulgarian Real Estate Fund and a 1.76% dip in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.35 levs.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, was the only one to close in green territory after inching up by 0.08% to 743.43 points. The index was buoyed by venture capital firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C], which climbed by 2.61% to 23.60 levs and First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB], which went up 2.54% to 2.42 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange surged to 1.5 million levs ($835,502/766,935 euro) on Thursday from 426,382 levs on Wednesday.
The top stock by turnover was pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA], which generated 536,064 levs with 122,389 shares changing hands. The stock closed 0.45% lower at 4.38 levs.
