October 19 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) went up 0.43% to 581.18 points on Tuesday, supported by Sopharma [BUL:SFA] which saw a 3.59% increase in its shares following a 2.63% rise in the previous trading session, bourse data showed.
As many as 1,002 shares in the capital of Sopharma traded at an average price of 3.9493 levs on the floor of the Sofia bourse.
Sopharma's gains also helped the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, and the BGTR30 in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, close higher on Tuesday. The BGBX40 added 0.45% to 134.56 points, while the BGTR30 advanced by 0.21% to 652.81 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed Tuesday's trading session 0.08% lower at 160.57 points, due to a 0.37% decline in the shares of Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER].
Total turnover on the bourse's main market decreased to 482,169 levs ($287,000/246,400 euro) on Tuesday from 512,019 levs on Monday.
