February 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenian provider of energy efficiency solutions Resalta said that it has completed an industrial lighting project for Bulgaria-based Thrace-Ipoma, a unit of Greece-based plastics producer Thrace Group.
Resalta, which financed the entire project, replaced 236 metal halide luminaires with energy efficient LED luminaires, thus reducing Thrace-Ipoma's annual energy consumption for lighting by 73%, the Slovenian company said in a statement last week.
Resalta will also provide operational and maintenance services under its three-year contract with Thrace-Ipoma, the company said, without disclosing the price of the deal.
The energy savings will also result in cutting CO2 emissions by 224 tonnes per year, while maintenance costs will be reduced by 71%.
Resalta was founded in 2011 by Slovenian companies Gorenje, Geoplin and Energetika Ljubljana. Besides providing energy services in Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia, the company has expanded to the Czech Republic, Italy and Poland.
Sofia-based Thrace-Ipoma offers manufacturing packaging solutions divided into two segments - injection moulding and thermoforming production, as well as big bags. The company has over 200 employees and produces over 8,000 tonnes of polymer for industrial, fast-moving consumer goods and other uses, Resalta said.
