January 31 (SeeNews) - Slovenian brewery Pivovarna Lasko Union (PLU) has acquired a majority stake in local beverage distributor Davidov Hram, PLU said on Tuesday.
The transaction will allow the two companies to enter into a strategic partnership, which will enable PLU to improve distribution operations on the hotels, restaurants and catering (HoReCa) market, the brewery said in a statement.

Davidov Hram will continue to operate as an independent company and will focus on the development of digital tools for improving services to customers in the HoReCa sector, PLU said.
On January 30, the general assembly of Davidov Hram appointed Dusan Zehelj as CEO and Miha Sebenik as COO.
According to data from Slovenia's business register, Zehelj held a 51% stake in the capital of Davidov Hram before the transaction, whereas the shareholding interest of PLU stood at 10.1%.
