February 23 (SeeNews) - Slovenian LED lighting manufacturer Lumenia is considering the construction of a production plant in Serbia, the local government of the Serbian city of Kraljevo said.
Lumenia has already opened an office in Serbia's capital Belgrade and the next step is to launch a production plant in the country, the Kraljevo city government quoted Lumenia sales manager, Bostjan Judez, as saying in a statement on Thursday.
With the launch of a factory in Serbia, Lumenia will improve its operations in the region, Judez said.
Lumenia has delivered LED equipment for the overhaul of the lighting infrastructure in Kraljevo under a 846,000 euro ($1.04 million) investment project of the city government. The Slovenian government contributed 30% of the budget through the Centre for International Cooperation and Development (CMSR).
The Slovenian company, a subsidiary of Strip’s Group, is active in the design and manufacturing of electronics, multi-sensor and LED lighting.
