April 5 (SeeNews) - Serbian company Berilija, a subsidiary of Belgian bedding manufacturer Somnis Bedding, plans to build a factory in the northern municipality of Novi Becej, the local government said.
The company has acquired thirty hectares of land where it will build the factory, Somnis Bedding regional manager Cedric de Mol was quoted as saying in a press release by the Novi Becej authorities on Wednesday.
The investment is worth over 10 million euro ($10.8 million) and will create job for 120 people, according to news portal Serbia Business.
In January, Somnis Bedding completed the acquisition of the former Pobeda factory in the Novi Becej industrial zone for an undisclosed fee.
Founded in 1995, Somnis Bedding manufactures mattresses, quilts and pillows. It has around 200 employees, according to its LinkedIn profile.
