LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), November 19 (SeeNews) – Slovenian logistics company Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] said its consolidated net profit fell 42% on the year to 2.4 million euro ($1.9 million) in the first nine months of 2020, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Sales revenue declined by an annual 7% to 111.6 million euro in January-September, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 12% to 9.5 million euro, Intereuropa said in a statement filed with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Thursday.
"Sales revenues were lower in all business areas, mainly due to the Covid-19 epidemic, especially in the second quarter," the company said.
Intereuropa targets a sale revenue of 158.5 million euro and EBITDA of 12.9 million euro, while investments in tangible and intangible fixed assets are planned at 8.4 million euro in 2021.
Intereuropa has subsidiaries in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Ukraine, Kosovo, Albania and Montenegro.
In November, Posta Slovenije completed the purchase of 72.13% of all shares issued by Intereuropa.
Intereuropa’s shares last traded on the Ljubljana bourse on November 16, closing at 1.11 euro, bourse data showed, without providing a price change figure.
