LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 10 (SeeNews) – Slovenian share indices on Thursday posted modest gains for a second session running, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index and the broader SBI20 both added 0.30%, finishing at 1,0.38.47 points and 4,201.13 points, respectively.
On Wednesday, the SBITOP added 0.42% and the SBI20 advanced 0.55%.
Four of the eight SBITOP components gained ground on Thursday, three closed lower and one – the rubber-to-tourism holding company Sava - was not traded.
Slovenia’s biggest insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav led the advancers for a second day running, gaining 5.33% to 24.89 euro ($36.17) average daily price in a volume of 5,462 shares. On Wednesday the insurer’s shares advanced 3.59%.
Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor, the nation's second biggest lender by assets, was the SBITOP's biggest decliner for a second trading session in a row, falling by 0.78% to 11.47 euro in a volume of 11,006 shares. On Wednesday its stock fell 0.77%.
Drug maker Krka, a SBITOP heavyweight, was the most liquid company on Thursday as 16,213 of its shares changed hands. Krka trade made 37% of the LJSE turnover on hursday. Krka stock fell slightly by 0.04% to 72.05 euro.
LJSE's total turnover fell to 3.11 million euro from Wednesday’s 9.8 million euro.
