November 10 (SeeNews) - Each of the two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) gained 2.22% on Thursday, recording their biggest rise in more than half a year, as total daily equity turnover grew, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index closed at 1,023.74 points, while the SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, ended the trading session at 1,281.32 points, LJSE data showed.
Nova Ljubljanska Banka [LJE:NLBR] gained the most among the blue chips - 5.28%. Its shares closed at 55.80 euro. The bank's shares also generated the highest trading turnover on Thursday, as they switched hands in 105 transactions worth a total of 937,754 euro ($952,935).
Other major gainers included hand tools manufacturer Unior [LJE:UKIG] with an increase of 5.00% and port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG], which rose 4.74%.
No member of the two stock indices closed lower on Thursday.
Total daily regulated market turnover rose to 2.1 million euro on Thursday from 1.3 million euro on Wednesday.
