January 10 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's infrastructure ministry invited bids in a tender for the overhaul of the Zagorje ob Savi railway station, a notice posted on the country's public procurement portal showed on Monday.
Interested investors will be able to place their bids until February 1 and the project is expected to last for 12 months, according to the notice.
During a visit to Zasavje region in September, infrastructure minister Jernej Vrtovec said a total of 14 million euro ($15.9 million) will be invested in the overhaul of the Zagorje ob Savi railway station.
The project will involve renovation of tracks, waiting rooms and toilets, the construction of an overpass for the future needs of remote control of railway traffic and two platforms, the Zagorje ob Savi municipality said in a separate statement last week.
