May 22 (SeeNews) - Serbian oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIIS] said on Monday its board of directors will propose to shareholders to approve a dividend payout of 4.02 billion dinars ($36.7 million/32.6 million euro) on 2016 earnings, unchanged from year earlier.
The shareholders will vote on the proposed dividend distribution at their annual meeting on June 27, NIS said in a statement.
The net profit of NIS came in at 16.08 billion dinars in 2016, the company said.
In February, Anton Fedorov, deputy CEO of NIS, said the company's net profit rose 3% to 15 billion dinars last year, while consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell to 39.8 billion dinars in 2016, compared to 46.5 billion dinars in the previous year.
NIS shares closed at 748 dinars, up 0.4%, on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday.
