May 16 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's HE Dabar, the company managing the construction of the 160 MW Dabar hydro power plant, signed a 10 million marka ($5.6 million/5.1 million euro) deal with Serbian civil engineering firm Energoprojekt Hidroinzenjering [BEL:EPHD] for the supervision of the project for the construction of the power plant, Slavisa Stajic, interim director of HE Dabar, said.
Energoprojekt Hidroinzenjering will supervise the preparation of the technical documentation, construction and installation of the equipment and the warranty measurements, Stajic said in a video streamed by local broadcaster Herceg Televizija on its YouTube channel last week.
The Serb Republic signed a contract with China Energy Gezhouba Group for the construction of the Dabar HPP in late 2021. The total estimated value of the project is 661.1 million marka.
Petar Dzokic, minister of energy and mining of the Serb Republic, said in April that the construction of the hydro power plant is expected to begin in late May.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities that comprise Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
