BELGRADE (Serbia), January 18 (SeeNews) – Serbia's Delta Real Estate, a subsidiary of diversified conglomerate Delta Holding, plans to invest 110 million euro ($134.4 million) in the construction of a luxury real estate complex in Belgrade, the managing director of the unit, Zorana Zdrale Burlic, has said.
The complex, named Delta Centre, will comprise an office and retail building and a five-star hotel under the Intercontinental brand with a total floor area of 80,000 square metres, Burlic said in a video file posted in the YouTube channel of Delta Holding on Wednesday.
Delta Real Estate also plans to invest 35 million euro in the construction of its new headquarters which will be located near Delta Centre, Burlic said in the video file.
The construction of the new headquarters, with a total floor area of 20,000 square metres, will last for one year, she noted.
The new headquarters will have an 'A' building energy rating (BER) and will also become the first building in Serbia with a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, Burlic added.
In December, the deputy president of Delta Holding, Zivorad Vasic, said Delta Holding is also ready to invest 200 million euro into the construction of a shopping mall under the Delta Planet brand in the Autokomanda neighbourhood of Belgrade.
